The primary performance role of Sarah Weaver is her 20+ years of extensive work in contemporary conducting outlined on this link.

Weaver performs electronic music in some of her compositions particularly to invoke dimensionality of location such as "Guidance (2015)" for bass trombonist David Taylor and "Sound in Peace (2016)" dedicated to Pauline Oliveros. Her spoken voice work includes "Sound in Peace" reading a meditative poem processed into texture with electronics together with multiple instrument improvisation of Joe McPhee , and a spoken trio text palette with Ray Anderson and Oliver Lake in "The Point Being (2014)" large ensemble piece by Anderson and Weaver.

Prior instruments performed professionally by Weaver are piano and trombone. She began piano at age 6 and trombone at age 11. Currently she utilizes these instruments as compositional tools in realizing her works.
