Conducting Workshop: Changing Role of the Conductor in the 20th and 21st Centuries

The sessions will consist of talks and training by Sarah Weaver on the contemporary conducting elements in her composition system. These elements include original gestures for her works, adaptations of Soundpainting gestures developed by Walter Thompson, and classical conducting techniques. Participants will learn about these topics and experience examples in an ensemble setting.
