SYNthesis SERIES:
Music of Sarah Weaver and Collaborations

Synthesis Series is a compilation of contemplative contemporary network music works for solo, chamber, and large ensemble from the years 2020 to 2022. The works are conceived for the network music setting artistically and technologically for live performance via the internet by artists in different geographic locations.

Synthesis Series builds on my prior works conceptually to activate networked synchronies across realities for transformation of distance (physical, emotional, societal, environmental, dimensional), multiplicities of resonance, and transcendence. The collaborative composition At the Intersection of Eternity and Time with solo percussionist Gerry Hemingway is an expansion on our works in Reality Axis (2011-2018) conceptually exploring inner networks.

REALITY AXIS

for Solo Percussion

Reality Axis (2011-2018) is a collection of solo works I composed for percussionist Gerry Hemingway. The pieces Node 111, Reality Axis, and Nexus Expanse are based on concepts of my specialization in network music applied to Hemingway’s innovative language on the drum set, technical capacity for processing simultaneous layers, intuitive ability for synthesizing complex structures, and raw expressiveness. The works utilize pluralism structures such as multiplicity, polyrhythm, and simultaneity, together with nodal intersections, alignments, and attention strategies, to result in multidimensional resonance through integral synthesis.

Composer: Sarah Weaver
Performer/Improviser: Gerry Hemingway
Production: Gerry Hemingway, Woramon Jamjod, Jay Rothman
