Sarah Weaver, Ph.D. has taught college courses, masterclasses, and workshops in contemporary subjects of Network Music, Network Arts, Composition, Conducting, Improvisation, Music Theory, and Digital Arts. Her college teaching incorporates new pedagogy, course creation, and ongoing research for these contemporary subjects.
Weaver has taught at universities and institutes including LaSalle College of the Arts Singapore, The New School, New Zealand School of Music, Silpakorn University Bangkok, Stony Brook University (State University of New York), University College Cork Ireland, University of Michigan, Carnegie Hall, and Telematic Arts Seminars at New York University (New York, Abu Dhabi, Florence campuses) and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute co-taught with Stanford University and University of California San Diego.
Weaver's public teaching includes composer talks and workshops at arts venues as well as ongoing private lesson students in New York. She has had public education appearances at venues in Auckland, Bangkok, Christchurch, Kuala Lumpur, Michigan, New Mexico, New York, Toronto, Wellington, and via the internet in Nairobi. Weaver is dedicated to quality contemporary music and arts education for all ages.
